Once upon a time, there was Lesser Brittany and Greater Brittany. Those living in Lesser Brittany dropped the Lesser. Those in Greater Brittany really liked the Greater. They shortened it to simply Great. Thus Great Britain was born. And centuries later, it became Greatish Britain. Cheers.
