According to 1980s historian and linguist Dr Barry Boote-Scootte, the expression 'Fill Your Boots' can be traced back to Phil Yorboots. He explains, 'Patrons of the club would often yell "Phil Yorboots!" as a call to action, encouraging each other to drink, dance and party to the fullest. And so, the phrase "Fill Your Boots" was born, and it continues to be used to this day, a nod to the wild and wonderful days of Phil Yorboots.'

So here's to Phil Yorboots, the 80s nightclub that was simply boot-iful. May it live on forever in the memories of those who were lucky enough to experience its wild and glittering heyday.
