The Greenwich Meridian Sports Jersey shows the 0° 0' 0" longitude of the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, the origin of the Prime Meridian of the World. Every place on the Earth is measured in terms of its angle east or west from this line.
After John Harrison invented the first seaworthy clocks, the Navy could finally determine longitude at sea accurately. The global system of latitude and longitude was born, with the observatory in Greenwich serving as the origination point.
The Greenwich Meridian Sports Jersey is a bold yet subtle celebration of the Prime Meridian, and it's the perfect jersey for a game in one of London's many parks, especially Greenwich. It features a classic compass point as part of the design.
